Volunteers! San Carlos AYSO is run entirely by volunteers - all coaches, refs, team parents, and board members are San Carlos volunteers. We hope that everyone can contribute to help share the load of organizing our program. To register as a volunteer, click on "Volunteer" on the left hand side of your account page and then click on "Find volunteer roles".
LiveScanOn January 1, 2022 California law AB506 came into effect. This state law requires all volunteers working with minors to be fingerprinted as part of the LiveScan program. A few notes on LiveScan:
1. The LiveScan fingerprinting only needs to be done once ever per volunteer organization. Therefore if someone did it from another program, they still need to do it again for AYSO.
2. The LiveScan is in addition to the typical Sterling background check. The LiveScan is only once ever, while Sterling background check is required annually.
3. We will have a LiveScan event at HomeTown days (see below)4. If you are unable to make any of the hosted LiveScan events, you can do it at any time at a participating UPS store.
5. AYSO will directly cover the cost of the LiveScan at the hosted events. If you go to the UPS store it is $25, but AYSO will reimburse you.
Live Scan at Hometown Days:1. The LiveScan booth will be open from 11am to 3pm on Saturday only
2. The booth will be located along the third baseline of the softball diamond at Burton Park (near Woodland Ave). It should be next to the AYSO Speed Shot booth.
Online registration for Live Scan Event at Hometown Days:1. In order for the company to come out for the event, we need a certain of people registered for the event.
2. Registration ahead of the event can be done
here.
3. The online registration takes only a few minutes also.
4. Please select region 107 for the AYSO region
5. Please select the San Carlos Burton Park event during registration (1001 Chestnut St.)
6. Please note there is a movie toward the end of registration, but you can drag the slider to fast forward, rather than watch the three minute video.
7. There are appointment slots every five minutes. However, during the event, if you walk by the booth and there is little to no line, please feel free to just drop in.
8. The registration process will email you a QR code once complete. You will need this QR code and your drivers license when you come to the booth.
