The Winter League program is a competitive soccer program where players are selected based on their Fall ratings and coach recommendations. The games begin in January and run through March.  San Carlos teams in divisions U10 - U14 compete against teams from the other regions in Area 2N. San Carlos AYSO uses Highlands Turf Field for its home games.   Teams are expected to travel to the neighboring towns to play their away games. The Pacific Coast Spring Soccer League (PCSSL) is an AYSO run league which enables AYSO Regions on and near the San Francisco Peninsula (AYSO Areas 2A, 2B, 2C, 2N, and 2J) to have a "select" soccer program during the spring season to complement the normal primary programs run by these regions and areas.

Games are played on Sundays and the season runs from the first full weekend in March through the latter part of May or possibly into June.  Each team is generally scheduled 8 games and has the choice before the season starts to opt out of playing on certain weekends due to tournaments or other known conflicts.
