Most of San Carlos AYSO’s activities are on local fields (see field directory below). To keep the fields in good shape, everyone is asked to follow General Roles . A key part of the rules is to honor field closures indicated on the Field Hotline. Teams violating the rules are subject to loss of practice time, as described in our Field Use Policy.
General Rules
To protect the grass fields, fields should not be used during rain, or when the fields are waterlogged. SCAYSO policy for use of San Carlos School District fields such as Heather, Central and Tierra Linda is to follow the City guidelines. That means if the City grass fields are closed – so are the school fields. The official word on the status of the fields can be found via the City of San Carlos Field Hotline at 650-802-4333.
This message is updated by 2 pm every weekday and early in the morning on the weekends ONLY IF THERE HAS BEEN A CHANGE IN FIELD STATUS FROM THE PREVIOUS MESSAGE. For example, if the message states all fields are closed on Monday the 13th and you hear the same message when you call on Friday the 17th – it means the fields are still CLOSED.
If there is something wrong with the hotline, please refer to the Field Status to the right.
